Until 21:00 (Mon–Fri) you can simply come to Farmacia El Morche — we are open all day. Torrox has no daytime duty rota: between closing time and 23:00 — including Sundays and public holidays during the day — no pharmacy in the municipality is required to open. For a medical emergency call 061; on-duty pharmacies in nearby towns are another option.

What hours does the on-duty pharmacy cover?

The Torrox emergency service covers 23:00 to 07:00. During the day, pharmacies open normal hours: Farmacia El Morche opens Monday to Friday 8:00–21:00 with no midday closing, and Saturdays 9:30–14:30.

Do I need a prescription at the on-duty pharmacy?

Yes — during the emergency service, medicines can only be dispensed with the corresponding medical prescription, as required by current regulations.

How often is each pharmacy on duty?

The rotation runs in blocks of four consecutive nights per pharmacy. With five pharmacies in the rota, each one covers a 4-night duty roughly every 20 days.

Is there a 24-hour pharmacy in Torrox or Torrox Costa?

No. Torrox has no pharmacy open 24 hours every day: nights are covered by the duty rota from 23:00 to 07:00. During the day, Farmacia El Morche opens 8:00–21:00 with no midday break, and Farmacia Mediterráneo in Torrox Costa stays open until 23:00.
