What is the SPD and how does it work?
The Personalised Dosage System is a blister-type device with compartments for each day of the week and each dose time (breakfast, lunch, dinner, night). At the pharmacy we pack your medication following your doctor’s prescription, seal the device and label it with your name, the medicines included and the schedule.
Every week (or at the interval we agree), you collect your dosette box, prepared and checked by a licensed pharmacist.

Do I need a Spanish prescription?
Yes — prescription medicines in the organiser must be prescribed by a doctor in Spain (or via a valid EU cross-border prescription; UK prescriptions are not valid here). We will help you get set up with the Spanish equivalents of your usual medication.
Can I collect the organiser for an elderly relative?
Yes. Many carers and family members collect the SPD for their relatives. We can also let you know when it is ready.
